Macomb Community College Athletics

Jim Beard enters his 10th season at the helm of Macomb Community College Softball in 2025-26. Through nine seasons, Beard has amassed a record of 182-150 (.548) overall, including back-to-back-to-back 20+ win seasons in 2022, 2023 and 2024. In 2024, Beard led the Monarchs back to the NJCAA Division II World Series for the first time in nearly a decade after capturing the Great Lakes District A Championship. The Monarchs were led by several All-Region and All-Conference performers, including 2024 All-American, Ally Prasnjak.

MACOMB COACHING HIGHLIGHTS (NINE SEASONS):

• Great Lakes District A Coach of the Year (2024)
• MCCAA Co-Coach of the Year (2024)
• MCCAA Eastern Conference Co-Coach of the Year (2022)
• Coached and developed All-Americans in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024 (Elizabeth Townsend, 2023; Ally Prasnjak, 2024)
• Coached six NJCAA Region XII All-Region and All-MCCAA performers (Haley Beard, Bree Todaro, Samantha Scott, Elizabeth Townsend, Ally Prasnjak and Allison Vogt)
• Coached and developed eight MCCAA Eastern Conference First Team selections, as well as 19 Second Team and 18 Honorable Mention performers
• Helped develop eight All-Freshman Team selections, including the 2022 MCCAA East Freshman of the Year (Samantha Scott)
• Recorded his most wins in 2024 after finishing 31-15 overall and 23-7 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play
