BY THE NUMBERS: 47
This team gets after it defensively! Through three games, Macomb Men's Basketball is only giving up a stingy 47 points per game after holding the opposition to 52, 42 and 47 points, respectively, last week. While only giving up 47 points per contest, the Monarchs are winning by an average of ... wait for it ... 47 points per game.

BY THE NUMBERS: 80
What a start to the season for the Blue & White! Offensively, the Monarchs are averaging 94 points per game through their first three games and have shot  54.3% from the field over that stretch. A number that showcases their play on both ends of the floor: the Monarchs have dished out 80 assists and have only allowed 17 for the opposition.

INTO THE TOP FIVE THEY GO!
After checking in seventh in the NJCAA D2 preseason poll, the Monarchs shot up to No. 5 in the country Monday (Nov. 7) when the association released its week one rankings. The newest member in the top five, the Monarchs received 110 poll points in this week's poll, nine points behind No. 4 Milwaukee Area Tech. Defending champ South Suburban remains at No. 1 in this week's poll.

CONTRIBUTIONS EVERYWHERE
As part of their 3-0 record and a margin of victory of 47 points per game, the Monarchs have received contributions from every player on the roster and no player averages more than 22 minutes per game entering the week. Through three games, four Monarchs are averaging double figures scoring, while a total of nine are tallying five or more points per game.

ADLEY'S EFFICIENCY
While we could put this same focus on several Monarchs up and down the roster, freshman guard Tamario Adley has been ultra-efficient through his first three games at the collegiate level. Entering the week, Adley is averaging a team-best 13.3 points per game and is shooting 70.8% from the field and a scorching 71.4% from 3-point territory.

HOLDER DISHES IT OUT
Freshman guard Linden Holder has dished out a team-leading 16 assists through the first three games of the season. While sharing time in three convincing wins, Holder has nearly matched the opposition's total assists (17) through three games.

THE WEEK AHEAD
The No. 5 Monarchs return to their home floor Tuesday (Nov. 8) when Washtenaw Community College visits Warren for a rare 5:30 p.m. tip-off. From there, the Monarchs will hit the road this weekend for Indiana where they will play two NJCAA Division I perennial powers when they take on host Vincennes Friday and John A. Logan Saturday at the Vincennes McDonald's Classic.

A LOOK AT: VINCENNES
A household name in the NJCAA Division I ranks, the Trailblazers of Vincennes University have jumped out to a 3-0 record and check in at No. 23 in the latest NJCAA D1 Rankings. Tasos Cook and Kris King lead the Trailblazers in scoring averaging 16 and 13 points per game, respectively, while Caleb Johnson follows in double figures at 11.3 points per contest.

A LOOK AT: JOHN A. LOGAN
Much like Vincennes, the Vols of John A. Logan are a mainstay on the national scene at the NJCAA D1 level. As of Monday, the Vols vaulted all the way up to No. 13 in the latest NJCAA D1 Poll. The Vols, No. 9 in @JUCOadvocate's Preseason Top 25, enter the week with three players averaging 15 or more points per game this season.
