BY THE NUMBERS: 56
The Monarchs defense continues to be a force this season as the Blue & White have limited the opposition to just 56 points per game through nine games played. The 56 points against ranks fourth in all of NJCAA Divison II and stands as the fewest points given up out of teams with eight or more games played this season.

BY THE NUMBERS: 80
While relentless team defense has been a driving force behind the No. 11 Monarchs' strong start, the offense has been equally as impressive through nine games this season. Entering the week, the 11th ranked Monarchs average 89.3 points per game and are a perfect 6-0 when they net 80 or more points in a game.

MONARCH REWIND
The Monarchs avenged their only home loss in the Coach Niz era last week with an 81-61 victory over Glen Oaks Tuesday (Nov. 22). Leading by as many as 26 points, the Monarchs cruised in the second half on their way to earning their seventh win of the season and the program's 21st win in 22 home games since the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

STAT LEADERS
Tamario Adley leads three Monarchs in double figures with 11.9 points per game and is followed closely by Juwan Maxey  and Aidan Rubio who check in with 10.8 and 10.0 points per game, respectively.  Tymias Williams averages a team-best 6.0 rebounds per game, while Jaylen Daughtery hauls in 5.3 boards of his own. Linden Holder's 4.6 assists per contest leads a Macomb team that averages 22.6 per game.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Freshman guard Tamario Adley was named MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the Week  following an efficient performance of 19 points on 72.7% shooting from the floor in a 20-point win over Glen Oaks on Nov. 22. Adley has been efficient all season and is shooting 55.8% overall and 40.9% from 3-point territory through nine games played.

CHECKING IN AT NO. 11
The Monarchs remained at No. 11 in this week's NJCAA Division II Rankings, seven poll points shy of a Top-10 spot. The Monarchs take on a Cuyahoga team that is receiving votes in the rankings this week and will travel to New York to battle No. 7 Niagara County next week.

A LOOK AT: CUYAHOGA
The Triceratops of Cuyahoga Community College made their long-awaited return to the hardwood this season after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The 'Tops got off to strong start, winning their first eight games before dropping a road tilt at Hocking Wednesday night. At 8-1 overall, the Tops are led by Devin Haid who nets 17.4 points per game.

A REGION XII SHOWDOWN
Friday night's home game with Cuyahoga, the first team listed in the receiving votes category in the latest NJCAA Rankings, is a contest between two NJCAA Region XII teams vying for one of the three region titles up for grabs this season. Despite hailing from the same region, the Monarchs and Triceratops have only met once in the past 10 seasons, a 69-61 Cuyahoga victory in Warren on Dec. 19, 2014.

HOLDER RETURNS IN STYLE
Freshman guard Linden Holder returned to the lineup in style Tuesday (Nov. 22) by tallying 12 points and dishing out a career-high nine assists in the Monarchs' 81-61 victory over Glen Oaks. Holder was in command of the offense all evening, posting six of his nine assists in the first half to help the Monarchs earn the 20-point home win.
