NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Strategically playing a tough schedule to prepare for MCCAA Eastern Conference play and possible Region XII Tournament implications, Macomb Baseball played against its second junior college power in as many days, this time visiting the Bobcats of Pasco-Hernando State College on Sunday (March 6). A tight game through three-plus innings of play, the seasoned Bobcats pulled away late to win Sunday's contest by an 18-0 final score.
Sunday's game marked the second of the season for the Monarchs and was the Bobcats' 22nd contest of the 2022 campaign.
The Monarchs, 0-2 on the young season, will play two Monday (March 7) on the same field. Game one will be against the same Bobcats squad with an 11:00 a.m. first pitch, while game two will feature a neutral-site battle between the Monarchs and Hillsborough CC beginning at approx. 2:30 p.m. at Pasco-Hernando.
