The Monarchs, now ranked sixth in the country in NJCAA Division II, improved to
8-1 on the season with a 103-74 victory at Glen Oaks on Saturday (Dec. 9). With another high-scoring performance, the Monarchs improved to
8-0 when tallying 90 or more points on the season. The Monarchs are also a perfect
8-0 when out-rebounding their opponent.

Sophomore forward
Tymias Williams earned his second MCCAA East Player of the Week honor in as many weeks after scoring a team-high
21 points to lead the Monarchs to a road win at Glen Oaks. The
21 points marked the second consecutive game Williams has scored 20 or more points after he tallied a career-high 23 in a 97-83 neutral-site win over Niagara County.
INSIDE THE GLEN OAKS WIN
The Monarchs jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back on their way to a 103-74 road win at Glen Oaks on Saturday (Dec. 9).
Tymias Williams' 21 points led six in double figures in the 29-point win. Other Monarchs in double figures:

LEADING THE WAY
Through nine games,
Juwan Maxey paces six in double figures at 16.4 points per game (PPG).
Tymias Williams is next at 15.2 PPG, while
Parker Day and
Kyle Millender follow at 13.8 PPG and 12.3 PPG, respectively.
Josh Hines checks in at 12.1 PPG and
Justin James averages 10.3. Three other Monarchs are just shy of netting double digits per contest:

NATIONAL LEADERBOARD
At the time of this release, the Monarchs rank fourth in scoring at 98.6 PPG, second in assists (24.5) and check in third in field goal percentage at 52.9%. On the defensive end, the Monarchs rank first nationally in field goal percentage defense at 34.1%. Additionally, the Monarchs rank sixth nationally in rebounds per game at 49.4.
BACK-TO-BACK RANKED TEAMS
The Monarchs travel to No. 19 Kalamazoo Valley Saturday for a 3 p.m. tip-off. The road tilt marks the first half of back-to-back games against ranked opponents as the Monarchs will then prepare for a trip to Chicago for a game at No. 5 South Suburban on Dec. 30.
A LOOK AT: KALAMAZOO VALLEY
The KVCC Cougars enter the week with a 7-2 record and are ranked No. 19 in the country after most recently knocking off last week's No. 1 team nationally, South Suburban. NCAA D1 transfer Joe Liedel leads a highly-talented Cougars team with 24.1 PPG while Jaylin Fox (16.3), MaKyle Doss (14.2) and Ashton Atwater (13.7) follow in double figures. Saturday's game marks the first of two scheduled meetings between Macomb and KVCC this season (next meeting: Jan. 6 at the SC4 Skippers Classic).
THE REMATCH & TALE OF THE TAPE
Saturday will feature a rematch of last year's Great Lakes District C Championship Game, a game the Monarchs won by a 71-56 final to punch their ticket to the National Championship.
