Back into the top 10! After a 79-49 road win at Wayne County Community College Saturday (Feb. 25), Macomb Men's Basketball shifted up two spots to No.
9 in this week's NJCAA Division II Rankings! The Monarchs have been ranked all season and have never dropped lower than 11th. The ninth-ranked Monarchs host Jackson Tuesday.

Freshman guard
Juwan Maxey went off in the Monarchs' 79-49 rout of the Wayne County Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Detroit. The Renaissance High School product made the most of the lone game in his home city this season with a career-high
20 points on a career-best six 3-pointers to help the Monarchs top the Wildcats by the 30-point margin.
HOME PLAYOFF GAME AHEAD!
Saturday's 30-point win at Wayne County was twice as nice for the Monarchs as the Blue & White punched their ticket to one of the upcoming district tournaments and also secured a first round playoff game at home. The first round game will take place at Macomb on March 7 with the winner of that game advancing to Mott for the semifinals on March 10.
STAT LEADERS
Three Monarchs check in above 10 points per game (PPG) with recent Wayne State commit
Tamario Adley leading the way at 12.4 points per contest.
Aidan Rubio follows at 10.7 PPG and
Tymias Williams checks in at 10.1 PPG.
Jaylen Daughtery grabs a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game, while Williams averages 5.8 per contest.
Linden Holder dishes out a team-best four assists per outing.
SOPHOMORE NIGHT IS TUESDAY
Join us Tuesday (Feb. 28) when the Monarchs take on Jackson College at 7:30 p.m. and help us celebrate the careers of our sophomores:

Tom McNelis! The sophomores will be honored during a pregame ceremony roughly five minutes prior to tip-off against the Jets.
UNDER 50 ONCE AGAIN
The Monarchs got after it defensively at Wayne County and it showed as the Wildcats were held to 49 points through 40 minutes of action. Saturday's game marked the ninth time this season the Monarchs have held an opponent to 50 points or less (9-0 in those games).
CHECKING IN ON: OCC
The Raiders of Oakland Community College (OCC) enter the week battling for a playoff berth at 5-7 in the MCCAA East, tied for the fifth and final spot with Wayne County Community College. After the ice storm postponed last week's meeting, the Raiders will welcome the Monarchs to Auburn Hills Thursday (March 2) for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
CHECKING IN ON: JACKSON
Jackson College faces a busy three-game week ahead after the ice storm wreaked havoc on the greater Jackson area and forced the Jets to postpone all of their contests last week. The Jets enter the week with an outside shot at qualifying for one of the upcoming district tournaments. In order to do so, the Jets will need to win out while also hoping several other results go in their favor over the course of the week.
A LOT ON THE LINE
With two games remaining on the regular season slate, the Monarchs can finish as high as second in the MCCAA East and receive the No. 2 seed in the Great Lakes District C Tournament.In order to climb as high as the two seed, the Monarchs will need to win out and Mott would need to lose one of their three remaining games.
