MONARCH REWIND
It's been awhile since our last release of game notes, so let's catch up! Since our last edition, the Monarchs earned a 3-3 record with two wins over the Golden Eagles of Cornerstone JV and a win over the Concordia-Ann Arbor Cardinals split squad. Injuries have continued to mount for the Monarchs as seven starters are now out for the season or out an extended period of time.
A LOOK AHEAD
After starting the week with a non-conference split at Concordia-Ann Arbor, the Monarchs shift their attention back to conference play with a four-game set ahead against the Jets of Jackson College. The Monarchs visit Jackson for a pair of games Thursday beginning at 2 p.m. and return home for a doubleheader Saturday against the Jets. First pitch for Saturday's twin bill is 1 p.m.
HOME RUN POWER
Back-back-back...gone! The Monarchs have hit 11 home runs on the season, four more than last season's total of seven (in 46 games played).
Ben Dillabough went deep Tuesday at Concordia-Ann Arbor for his team-leading third home run of the campaign,
Jack Blomme hit two, while
Josh Medrano and
Reese Rinna each went deep once last week.

On the mound, the Jets have posted a 6.59 team ERA through 20 games.
POLEGA DOMINANT ON THE HILL
Sophomore right-handed pitcher
Ryan Polega was absolutely dominant in his last appearance. Polega, a former standout at nearby Henry Ford II High School, had a career outing last week in an 11-0 win over Cornerstone JV. The sophomore struck out a career-high 11 batters and scattered five hits across seven shutout innings in a complete performance for the Monarchs.
COMMITMENT TRACKER
While its been a tough go as of late amid a rash of injuries, the total number of Monarchs on the current roster who have committed to a four-year next year is up to six (four NCAA D2, two NAIA). Last year, the Monarchs sent one to a four-year school (H. Ryan, Concordia). The latest four-year commit is sophomore shortstop,
Adam Amodei, who is heading to NCAA D2 Alderson Broaddus! Congrats, Adam!
