The Monarchs have now hit the century mark 10 times this season after two
100 point performances last week. The Monarchs started the week with a
100-78 victory over Schoolcraft and later defeated Henry Ford by a
100-76 final. The 24 point win over the Hawks tied the Monarchs' largest margin of victory in the series over the past decade.
BY THE NUMBERS: 6
After last week's pair of 20+ point wins, the Monarchs remained in the No.
6 spot nationally in the latest NJCAA Division II Poll. The sixth-ranked Monarchs hit the road to take on Mott CC on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and No. 13 SC4 on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Monarchs enter the week in a first place tie in the conference with SC4 at 8-1.
WINNING FORMULA
The Monarchs continued to attack the glass last week on their way to 20+ point home wins over Schoolcraft and Henry Ford. The Monarchs outrebounded both opponents to boost their record to an unblemished 19-0 when outrebounding the competition. The team is 0-3 when outrebounded by the opposition. The Blue & White also moved to 18-0 when shooting 45% or better this season.
CONTINUED BALANCED
Juwan Maxey leads five in double figures at 15.8 points per game (PPG), followed by
Tymias Williams who nets 13.8 PPG.
Nate Brown and
Parker Day are next at 13.3 and 13.0 PPG, respectively, while
Josh Hines checks in at 11.4 PPG. The balance continues with the following averages:

HUGE WEEK AHEAD
Huge week ahead on the hardwood! On Wednesday, the Monarchs visit Mott for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off and will aim for their first win at Ballenger Fieldhouse in four years. On Saturday at 3 p.m., the Monarchs will look to even the season series with No. 13 SC4 in Port Huron. Both Macomb and SC4 enter the week in control of their own destiny in the MCCAA East.
SOPHOMORE DAY
Men's Basketball will host Sophomore Day on February 24 at 3 p.m. when the Monarchs host Wayne County CC. Come early as we honor the careers of the team's sophomores with a special pregame ceremony!
A LOOK AT: MOTT
Led by Steve Schmidt, a head coach with over 800 career wins, the Bears of Mott Community College enter the week with an 18-5 record overall and sit alone in fourth place in the MCCAA East at 5-4. The Bears are paced offensively by Mehki Ellison, a sophomore guard who averages a MCCAA-best 27.0 PPG. The Monarchs won the previous meeting this season, a 113-74 victory on Jan. 20.
A LOOK AT: #13 SC4
The 13th ranked SC4 Skippers head into the week with a 19-4 overall record and are tied atop the MCCAA Eastern Conference with the Monarchs at 8-1 in league play. The Skippers won the first meeting of the season, a 91-79 victory in Warren on Jan. 24. The Skippers are the top 3-point shooting team in the league at 38.5%. Sophomore guard Tyler Hamilton leads three Skippers averaging double figures scoring at 18.0 PPG.

Tymias Williams leads four Monarchs averaging six or rebounds per game (RPG) at 7.3 per contest, followed by

Tate MacKenzie (6.8) and

Justin James has dished out a team-best 82 assists (3.7 APG), followed by
Kyle Millender with 68, T. Williams with 67 and Maxey with 66.
