FLINT, Mich. – Macomb Volleyball played their fifth match in three days on Monday (Oct. 6), falling 3-0 to host Mott Community College in a MCCAA Eastern Conference battle. Set scores were 25-21, 25-19, and 25-20 in favor of the Bears. 

The Monarchs are now an even 10-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while the Bears move to 17-11 overall and 5-1 in the East. 

Jordan Pflaum led Macomb with 11 kills and nine digs. Korin Hutton registered 27 assists and seven digs, while Sophia Kulaga added four aces to go along with seven digs. 

Alexis Cunha had another strong match defensively for the Monarchs, recording 18 digs, and Kara Beeker posted seven kills to round out the individual leaders. 

Macomb begins the second half of conference play on Wednesday (Oct. 8) at home against Oakland Community College. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Chippewa Valley High School.
