DETROIT, Mich. – Macomb Women's Basketball closed out the 2025 portion of their schedule with a dominant 100-33 victory over the host Community Christian College Lions on Tuesday (Dec. 23) in Detroit.
Seven players reached double figures scoring to lift the Monarchs to 9-4 overall as the team hit the century mark for the first time this season.
In a game that was decided early, the Monarchs shot out out to a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and a 40-18 advantage at the break behind a balanced attack.
The Monarchs continued to pour it on in the latter half, outscoring the Lions by a decisive 60-15 margin to earn the 67-point victory.
The 67-point win tied for the ninth largest margin of victory in program history.
Vanessa Galovich led the Monarchs with an impressive all-around game off the bench with 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Ava Kilgore tallied a career-high 16 points behind four 3-pointers and Asiyah Jihad was one rebound shy of another double-double with 14 points and a team-best nine boards.
Maggie Stadler poured in a career-best 12 points, Hannah Tamou chipped in 11, while A'Liyah Forris and Ruby Sandison recorded 10 points each. Forris had five assists and five rebounds and Sandison corralled six rebounds to go along with four steals. Tamou recorded a team-high five steals in the win.

Janiya McWilliams stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of four points, eight assists and six rebounds.
The Monarchs dished out a season-high 35 assists on 42 made baskets and went on to outscore the Lions in fast breaks points by a 33-2 margin. Defensively, the Monarchs forced 39 turnovers to post a 47-2 points off turnovers advantage.
UP NEXT: The Monarchs are back in action Jan. 2-3 at the Skippers New Year's Classic hosted by St. Clair County Community College. The two-day classic opens with a neutral-site tilt against Grand Rapids Community College on Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. in Port Huron.
