PORT HURON, Mich. – Macomb Men's Basketball couldn't get their offense going in a 71-67 road setback to St. Clair County Community College on Saturday (Feb. 14). The loss sends the Monarchs back into a first place tie in the MCCAA Eastern Conference with Henry Ford College and Schoolcraft College with three games remaining in the regular season.

The Monarchs are 15-11 overall and 8-3 in conference play following Saturday's result.

After a strong start that resulted in a 28-20 lead, the Monarchs cooled offensively and never found a rhythm from there in the four-point loss.

Caron Williams paced the Monarchs with 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting overall and a 4-of-8 clip from downtown. The redshirt sophomore guard added nine rebounds in 34 minutes of action. Malachi Irving was the only other Monarch to reach double figures scoring with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting while pulling down seven rebounds.

The Monarchs face a tough test at No. 14 Oakland Community College on Wednesday (Feb. 18). Tip-off in Auburn Hills is set for 7:30 p.m.
