MARYSVILLE, Mich. – Macomb Softball improved to 4-0 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play and 8-6 overall with a doubleheader road sweep over St. Clair County Community College on Saturday (March 21). With the losses, the host Skippers shifted to 6-8 overall and 2-2 in league play.

GAME ONE: Macomb 7, SC4 5
Riley McLaughlin played the role of hero in the opener as the sophomore infielder/designated player hit a go-ahead grand slam to turn a 5-3 deficit into a 7-5 lead and win. Ariana Wlodeck got the start and went the distance for the win to move to 4-0 on the year. Wlodeck held the Skippers to four earned while striking out four and the trio of Alexa Garofalo, Aubrey Rich and Addison Wodowski accounted for six of the Monarchs' 10 hits in the 7-5 win.

Samantha Consiglio drove in a pair of runs while Rich drove in one as part of the thrilling victory.

GAME TWO: Macomb 8, SC4 3
Ryleigh Davis connected on a double and went 3-for-4 to pace a balanced offensive attack while McLaughlin and Rich drove home two runs each in an 8-3 game two victory.
