Cordes, a nationally certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) and a Michigan licensed athletic trainer, joined Macomb in August 2025 as part of Team Rehab.
A 2024 graduate of Northern Michigan University's (NMU) Undergraduate Sport Science program, Cordes went on to secure her master of science degree in athletic training from NMU in 2025. From 2023-2025, Cordes had clinical rotations at NMU working with multiple NCAA Division II sports including basketball, cross country, football, soccer, track & field and wrestling (Greco-Roman and freestyle). Most recently, Cordes completed an internship with Clarkston High School where she worked with sports such as baseball, lacrosse, softball, tennis and more.
In addition to athletic training certifications and her recent degrees, Cordes is certified in First Aid and CPR/AED through the American Heart Association.
