COACHING EXPERIENCE:

  • Macomb Community College, Head Coach (2021-2023)

MACOMB COACHING HIGHLIGHTS (2022-23):

  • Guided team to NJCAA Division II National Championship Game (best finish in program history)
  • Led Macomb to its second trip to the national tournament and second NJCAA Region XII Championship (first since 2016-17)
  • NJCAA Region XII District C Coach of the Year
  • Posted a 28-8 record overall (28 wins is the most in a single season in program history)
  • Coached program to its first MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship since 1992-93
  • Coached the program’s third NJCAA Division II All-American, Aidan Rubio (also coached John Ukomadu, a 2021-22 All-American)
  • Helped send players to the NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II levels in back-to-back seasons
  • Moved on eight players to four-year programs
  • Team was never ranked lower than 11th all season in the NJCAA Division II National Poll

MACOMB COACHING HIGHLIGHTS (2021-22):

  • MCCAA Coach of the Year
  • MCCAA Eastern Conference Coach of the Year
  • BCAM Junior College Coach of the Year
  • Led Macomb to its first MCCAA Championship in program history in his first season
  • Coached program to its first MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship since 1992-93
  • Led the program to its first outright Eastern Conference title since the 1983-84 campaign
  • Earned a record of 25-5 overall (13-3 MCCAA Eastern Conference) in his first season at the helm
  • Coached the program’s first NJCAA Division II All-American (John Ukomadu) since Dwight Burton (2017-18)
  • Guided four All-Region, All-MCCAA and First Team MCCAA Eastern Conference performers in his first season (Elijah Belle, Tariq Humes, Jiovanni Miles and John Ukomadu), as well as a Third Team All-Conference selection (Jaylen Daughtery)
  • Coached the MCCAA Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year (John Ukomadu) and two All-Defensive Team performers (Jaylen Daughtery and John Ukomadu)
  • Moved four players on to the next level in his first season:
    • John Ukomadu, Eastern Kentucky University, NCAA Division 1
    • Jiovanni Miles, Saginaw Valley State University, NCAA Division 2
    • Tariq Humes, Florida Memorial University, NAIA
    • Delano Williams, Siena Heights University, NAIA
