Shannon Valicevic is back for year eight on the sidelines in 2023-24 as an assistant coach with the Macomb Women’s Basketball program. During her time at Macomb, Valicevic has been on staff for three of the program’s six MCCAA Conference Championships, four of five NJCAA Region XII Championships and four of the five NJCAA National Championship Berths in program history. Valicevic was on staff for the record-breaking 32-0 team in 2019-20, as well as the 11-0 team in the shortened 2020-21 season, and has been an assistant for a Macomb program that has went 161-56 (.742) since 2015.
On the player development side, Valicevic has assisted in coaching a pair of All-Americans (Sade Lemons, 2016-17; Emily Swiercz, 2020-21), as well as numerous All-Region and All-MCCAA Selections since her arrival.
Aside from coaching at Macomb, Valicevic also coached at her alma mater, Lake Shore High School, for four seasons and was an assistant on staff for the Shorians’ 2014-2015 MHSAA District Championship run.
As a player, Valicevic culminated a decorated high school career by helping lead the Shorians to a 2001-02 District Championship.
