Lauren "Doogie" Rishell

Lauren “Doogie” Rishell (formerly Duquette) was named the 10th head coach in Macomb Community College women’s volleyball history prior to the 2019 season. In six seasons at the helm, Coach Doogie has a 65-79 overall record, including a 2021 campaign that saw the Monarchs finish with a 15-13 overall mark and 8-4 MCCAA Eastern Conference record. At the conclusion of the 2021 season, Coach Doogie was named MCCAA Eastern Conference Co-Coach of the Year following a vote of the league’s head coaches.

In total, Coach Doogie has coached and helped develop 22 MCCAA All-Conference selections in six seasons as the Monarchs head coach. Taking over at a difficult time, a good chunk of Coach Doogie’s early tenure at Macomb was altered in some shape or form by the pandemic (2020-2021).
