Lauren "Doogie" Rishell

Lauren “Doogie” Duquette was named the 10th head coach in Macomb Community College women’s volleyball history prior to the 2019 season. In three short seasons at the helm, Coach Doogie has amassed a 33-34 overall record, including the most recent 2021 campaign that saw the Monarchs finish with a 15-13 overall mark and 8-4 MCCAA Eastern Conference record. At the conclusion of the 2021 season, Coach Doogie was named MCCAA Eastern Conference Co-Coach of the Year following a vote of the league’s head coaches.

In total, Coach Doogie has coached and helped develop over 10 MCCAA All-Conference selections in three seasons as the Monarchs head coach. Taking over at a difficult time, two of Coach Doogie’s three seasons have been altered in some shape or form due to the pandemic.
