WARREN, Mich. – A 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-13, 25-17) over Schoolcraft College on Tuesday (Oct. 12) pushed Macomb Volleyball's winning streak to three matches and elevated the team's record to an impressive 12-9 overall and 6-2 in MCCAA Eastern Conference play. The 3-0 setback saw Schoolcraft drop to 0-9 in league action and 2-11 overall.
Kara Lewicki (Macomb, Mich./Lutheran North), an All-Region and All-MCCAA selection a season ago, paced the attack with 12 kills, while three-time and current MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Natalie Husson (Marysville, Mich./Marysville), checked in with nine kills and a pair of blocks to help lead the Monarchs Tuesday night.
Khloee Stoll (Macomb, Mich./Anchor Bay) and Juliana Bollini (Washington, Mich./Romeo) combined for 32 of the team's 61 digs, and Emily Langlois (Macomb, Mich./L'Anse Creuse-North) assisted on 26 of the team's 31 kills in the 3-0 conference sweep.
In all, seven Monarchs recorded four-or-more digs as the team's defense continued to impress under third-year head coach Lauren "Doogie" Duquette.
