ALBION, Mich. – Elijah Belle (Detroit, Mich./Davenport) poured in a game-high 28 points and John Ukomadu (Southfield, Mich./Vincennes) added 19* to lead Macomb Men's Basketball to a 94-69 road win over Albion College JV on Sunday (Nov. 7). The win lifts the Monarchs record to 3-0 on the season.
For Belle, his game-best 28 points came via the long line as the sophomore drained a season-high six three-pointers. The six triples also marked a season-high for any Monarch this season. Ukomadu's 19 points set a new season-high and lifted his scoring average to 16.3 points per game. The sophomore added four rebounds and three assists in the winning effort, while Shawn Brown (Oak Park, Mich./Oak Park) pulled down a team-high and season-high 11 rebounds to go along with three points and an assist.
Jiovanni Miles (Novi, Mich./Wisconsin-Green Bay) rounded out the Monarchs double-digit scorers with 10 points while leading the team in assists (5) and steals (4).
