SWEET, SWEET VICTORY!
Macomb Volleyball was impressive in every phase Wednesday (Oct. 19) on their way to picking up a 3-0 sweep over the host Henry Ford Hawks by set scores of 25-16, 28-26 and 25-20. The sweep brought the Monarchs their first MCCAA Eastern Conference win of the 2022 campaign, improving the Blue & White's record to 5-12 overall and 1-9 in league play.
INSIDE THE BIG WIN
The Monarchs picked up league win No. 1 on the season behind balanced team play and a high-energy effort throughout the three-set contest. As a team, the Monarchs amassed 38 kills on a night where everyone hit in the positive for the first time all season.
Chante Hudgins slammed down a career-best 10 kills and
Haile Polisano tallied 10 as well to help pace the Monarchs to victory.

Macomb Athletics extends a huge thank you to volleyball's trio of sophomores,
Natalie Husson,
Khloee Stoll and
Jordan Turner, for their contributions to the program. Turner came to Macomb this year and has led the team in blocks all season, while Husson and Stoll are the team's leaders and are returning All-Conference performers from 2021.

SO WE MEET AGAIN: JACKSON
After falling in four sets to the Jets last month, the Monarchs will look to even up the season series when they travel to Jackson Monday (Oct. 24) evening for a 7 p.m. first serve. Both teams will be laser-focused on earning the win as the Monarchs and Jets enter the match with mirroring 1-9 records in MCCAA Eastern Conference action. Note: There is no live stream available Monday at Jackson.
SO WE MEET AGAIN: SC4
The Skippers of SC4 have earned a record of 18-5 overall and an 8-2 mark in the MCCAA Eastern Conference. With two matches remaining, the Skippers control their own destiny and can earn at least a share of the MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship with a pair of victories to close out the regular season. The Skippers won the first meeting with the Monarchs this season in three sets.
AMONG THE LEAGUE'S BEST
As we enter the final week of the season, two Monarchs remain near the top of the MCCAA in a couple stat categories.
Jordan Turner has posted a 1.11 blocks per set average, while
Khloee Stoll has racked up a 6.05 digs per set mark. Both averages rank Stoll and Turner second in the respective categories across the entire MCCAA.
