WARREN, Mich. – Macomb Volleyball's tough stretch of playing all three teams tied atop the MCCAA Eastern Conference continued with a home bout against Mott Community College Monday (Oct. 3) inside the Sports & Expo Center in Warren. The visiting Bears, who entered Monday's match tied with Oakland Community College and St. Clair County Community College for first place in the league, won in three sets over the Monarchs with set scores of 10-25, 16-25 and 21-25.
Riley Fisette (Chesterfield, Mich./L'Anse Creuse North) and
Chante Hudgins (Warren, Mich./Lincoln) led the Monarch attack with seven kills each, while
Jordan Turner (Highland Park, Mich./Wilmington Univ.) and
Haile Polisano (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay) followed with five kills and four kills, respectively. The tandem of
Jacalyn Jarvie (Clinton Twp., Mich./Chippewa Valley) and
Kaylee Lathrop (Macomb, Mich./Lutheran North) tied for the team-lead in assists with 12 each, recording 24 of the team's 26 assists on the evening.
Khloee Stoll (Macomb, Mich./Anchor Bay), last week's MCCAA Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week, paced the action in the back row with 19 digs.
