PORT HURON, Mich. – Macomb Volleyball once again battled hard but came up shy on the road as the host SC4 Skippers earned a three-set win Wednesday (Sept. 28) in Port Huron. The loss drops the Monarchs to 0-6 in league play and 4-9 overall. SC4 improved to 12-4 overall and remained in a tie atop the conference at 5-1 in the MCCAA East.

Chante Hudgins (Warren, Mich./Mott) was a force at the net for the Monarchs all evening and went on to post a team-high seven kills and added three block assists in the three-set contest. Hudgins was the lone Monarch to record a solo block as well.

Reigning MCCAA East Defensive Player of the Week Khloee Stoll (Macomb, Mich./Anchor Bay) continued her strong play with a team-best 23 digs, while Jacalyn Jarvie (Clinton Twp., Mich./Chippewa Valley) followed with seven digs to accompany a team-high 10 assists.

The Monarchs will have the rest of the week off from competition and will return to the floor Monday (Oct. 3) when they host the Mott Community College Bears at 7 p.m. Monday's match is the first of two home contests next week as Oakland Community College visits Warren Wednesday (Oct. 5) for a 7 p.m. first serve.
