RECAPPING LAST WEEK
Macomb Volleyball once again battled hard but came up shy on the road as the host SC4 Skippers earned a three-set win Wednesday (Sept. 28) in Port Huron.
Chante Hudgins was a force at the net for the Monarchs all evening and went on to post a team-high seven kills and added three block assists in the three-set contest. Hudgins was the lone Monarch to record a solo block as well.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Khloee Stoll was named MCCAA Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 19-25 in a release by the conference on Tuesday (Sept. 27). The honor is the first of the season for any Monarch and is the third of Stoll's career after the talented libero took home a pair of Player of the Week awards in 2021. Congratulations, Khloee!
CHALLENGING STRETCH
The Monarchs will continue a stretch of conference matches against teams atop the MCCAA East. Last week, the Monarchs took on SC4, one of three teams tied for first place in league play. This week, the Monarchs will host the two other teams in the three-way tie atop the conference as Mott visits Warren Monday and OCC follows Wednesday.

SO WE MEET AGAIN: MOTT
The second half of the MCCAA Eastern Conference schedule begins Monday in Warren when the Bears of Mott Community College visit the Sports & Expo Center for a 7 p.m. first serve. Mott won the first matchup this season, a 3-0 victory in Flint on August 31. The Bears enter the week in a three-way tie for first place in conference play at 5-1 and are 12-5 overall this season.
SO WE MEET AGAIN: OCC
Much like the Monarchs matchup with Mott, the Blue & White will meet OCC for the second and final time in conference play this season when the Raiders visit Warren Wednesday at 7 p.m. Earlier this season, the Monarchs lost a late lead in the first set, allowing OCC to comeback in the opening frame as part of a 3-0 decision. OCC enters the week 10-2 overall (5-1 MCCAA East).
MCCAA EAST VS. NON-CONFERENCE
Through 13 matches this season, the Monarchs are 4-9 overall and are 0-6 in MCCAA Eastern Conference action. While the team is winless in six league matches, the Monarchs have posted a winning record in non-conference play. Through seven non-conference contests, the Monarchs have been victorious four times for a 4-3 record.
