Heading into the NJCAA Division II Great Lakes District A Tournament as the East No.
4 seed! With the regular season in the rear-view mirror, Macomb Volleyball (12-11) turns its attention to Thursday's opening round match against the South No. 1 seed, Edison State Chargers (23-6). The first round match is Thursday at 6 p.m. at SC4.

Congratulations goes out to Macomb Volleyball head coach Lauren "Doogie" Duquette! The Monarchs' head coach earned career win No.
50 at the helm of Macomb Volleyball with Monday's four-set road win in Rochester Hills. Doogie's
50th career win also secured a winning regular season record for the Monarchs at 12-11 overall.

A COUPLE SCENARIOS
We know the first opponent, the South No. 1 seed Chargers of Edison State Community College, but what's next if the Monarchs win or lose? With a win, the Monarchs play again Thursday at 8 p.m. against the winner of North No. 2 Muskegon and West No. 3 Southwestern Michigan. With a loss, the Monarchs play the Muskegon/Southwestern Michigan loser on Friday at 11 a.m.
A LOOK AT: EDISON STATE
The Edison State Charger earned the South No. 1 seed after going 23-6 overall and 9-3 in OCCAC play this season. The Chargers have been consistent regardless of there they play, going 9-1 at home, 8-3 on the road and 6-2 in neutral-site contests. The Chargers are led by Brooklyn Bourne's 385 kills while five players have over 300 digs.

Chante Hudgins in this special playoff edition of game notes! This season, Hudgins has burst onto the scene and has amassed an incredible .282 hitting percentage on 243 and has also recorded 70 blocks. Way to go, Chante!
A LOOK AROUND THE BRACKET
The MCCAA West Champion Lansing Stars are the top seed in the District A bracket, following by East No. 2 SC4 and North No. 2 Muskegon. The host Skippers open up with North No. 3 North Central Michigan, while Muskegon takes on West No. 3 Southwestern Michigan. The Macomb match opposite Edison State rounds out the seven-team District A bracket.
