Chante Hudgins and
Adeline Tresnak talied
16 kills each to help lead Macomb Volleyball to a four-set victory on the road at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) on Wednesday (Oct. 4). The
16 kills was a career for Tresnak and tied Hudgins' career-best mark that was set a week prior against Muskegon.

Freshman setter
Paige Elliott has made an immediate impact for the Monarchs this season. Elliott, a former AAU All-American and AAU Open National Champion, has been impressive throughout the season and has amassed
513 assists through 17 matches. On top of the
513 assists, Elliott leads the team in aces with 32 and has 162 digs.
MONARCH REWIND
The Monarchs shook off a five-match skid in a big way last week with a pair of huge conference wins. On Monday (Oct. 2), the Monarchs cruised to a 3-0 victory over OCC behind a balanced attack, and two days later, the Monarchs put together an incredible performance to top SC4 on the road in four sets. The SC4 win lifted the Monarchs to 8-9 overall and 4-3 in the MCCAA East.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK ... x2
On Tuesday (Oct. 3), sophomore middle hitter
Chante Hudgins was announced as the MCCAA Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week following a five-match total of 55 kills and a .311 hitting percentage. The weekly honor was the second of the season for the sophomore. Hudgins has a great shot at making it back-to-back next week after strong matches against OCC and SC4.
BACK TO THE POSTSEASON?
Wednesday's 3-1 victory at SC4 was huge for the Monarchs in the conference standings and for playoff positioning. The Region XII Tournaments (Districts A & B) take place at SC4 Nov. 2-4 and the top four teams out of the MCCAA East qualify (fourth seed has a play-in match). The Monarchs are currently tied for third with Jackson at 4-3 in the MCCAA East.

A LOOK AT: MOTT
The Mott Community College Bears sit alone atop the MCCAA Eastern Conference at 6-0 in league play (11-8 overall). The Bears, a program aiming for at least a share of their seventh straight conference championship, enter the week riding a three-match winning streak. The Bears won the first meeting of the season, a four-set victory over the Monarchs in Flint on Sept. 13.
A LOOK AT: SCHOOLCRAFT
The Schoolcraft College Ocelots will look to split the season series when they host the Monarchs Wednesday (Oct. 11) at 7 p.m. The Monarchs won the first meeting the season, a 3-0 victory at the Sports & Expo Center on Sept. 18. The Ocelots, 3-12 overall and 3-4 in the MCCAA East, have won two out of their last three matches and are led on the season by Lillian DeJong's 164 kills.
AROUND THE MCCAA EAST
The Monarchs enter the week tied for third place in the conference with a league record of 4-3 (tied with Jackson). Monday's opponent, Mott, leads the MCCAA Eastern Conference at an unbeaten 6-0, while SC4 follows at 5-2. Schoolcraft checks in at 3-4 in league play, while OCC is 2-5 and Henry Ford is 0-7.
