JACKSON, Mich. – Macomb Baseball fell to 2-10 overall and 0-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference after dropping the league opener to the host Jets of Jackson College by a 9-2 final Tuesday (March 21) in Jackson. The Monarchs now shift their attention to Thursday's home opener against Schoolcraft. First pitch is 2 p.m. on Macomb's South Campus.
With Tuesday's win, the Jets shifted to 1-0 in the MCCAA East and moved their overall record back to even at 7-7.

Jack Lyndrup (Macomb, Mich./L'Anse Creuse North) tied the game on an RBI single to center that brought
Alex Mendes (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) in to score from second base. Mendes started the inning with a leadoff single.
The tie game was short-lived as the Jets answered with two runs in the home half of the fourth to spark a series of seven runs scored over the next four innings in the 9-2 decision.
Mendes drove in the Monarchs second and final run of the afternoon in the eighth inning on a play that scored
Jeremy Pudlik (Waterford, Mich./Waterford Mott).
