FLINT – After nearly taking set one, Macomb Volleyball was tripped up on the road by the conference-unbeaten Bears of Mott Community College in three sets on Wednesday (Oct. 9) in Flint. The loss snapped a three-match conference winning streak – a steak that included victories over two of the top four teams in the MCCAA East.
The Bears improved to 18-4 overall and 7-0 in the MCCAA East with the win, coming by set scores of 25-23, 25-13 and 25-21. The Monarchs shifted to 8-14 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
Statistically, the Monarchs were led by
Paige Elliott (Livonia, Mich./Detroit Country Day) with 23 assists,
Alexis Cunha (Richmond, Mich./Anchor Bay) with 14 digs and
Kaley Eller (Utica, Mich./Utica) with a team-best nine kills.
