WARREN, Mich. – Not their day. Macomb Baseball had a late lead in both games but couldn't hang on in either as the visiting Jets of Jackson College swept the day, winning game one by a 4-3 final and game two, 7-4, on Thursday (April 4) in Warren. The losses drop the Monarchs to 8-10 overall and 4-2 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.

Brady Krzciok (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston/Madonna) continued his phenomenal sophomore campaign on Thursday with a pair of home runs, both of the two-run, go-ahead variety, to lift his season long ball total to six. After today's performance, Krzciok is now hitting a staggering .500 with a .609 on-base percentage while slugging .980 with six home runs, six doubles and 21 RBIs through 15 games played this season.
Luke Babcock (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich./Grosse Pointe North/Madonna) and
Dylan Pawenski (Shelby Twp., Mich./Utica/Madonna) drove in a run each in Thursday's twin bill, while starting pitchers
Ryan Sieler (Monroe, Mich./Monroe) and
Oliver Barkal (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier/Niagara) combined to strike out nine and only allowed six hits.
The Monarchs head to Jackson for the final two games of the five-game season series on Saturday (April 6). First pitch for game one is 1 p.m.
