ROCKFORD, Ill. – Not their day. Macomb Volleyball battled but couldn't string together enough points to upend No. 21 Madison College or Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday (Aug. 24) at the Opening Weekend Tournament in Rockford, Ill.
The Monarchs return to action bright and early tomorrow morning for a pair of matches to close out their time in Rockford.
#21 MADISON 3, MACOMB 1 (17-25, 13-25, 25-21, 15-25)
The Monarchs were able to force a fourth set but couldn't push the nation's 21
st ranked team to a deciding frame in a competitive four-set setback to open Saturday's action. Unforced errors doomed the Monarchs throughout and ultimately led to Madison capitalizing late to close out the match in four sets.
