GOODELLS, Mich. – Iowa bound! The No. 13 Macomb Men's Cross Country team posted another impressive performance at the MCCAA/NJCAA Region XII Championship meet on Friday (Oct. 24) and are heading back to the NJCAA Division II National Championships for the second-straight year. 

Freshman Jacob Kosidlo paced Macomb with a seventh-place finish individually in the 8K race, crossing the line with a PR time of 26:01.64 to earn All-MCCAA and All-Region honors. 

Fellow freshman Michael Nivala Jr. was right behind in eighth-place with a PR time of 26:10.02 also earning All-MCCAA and All-Region honors. 

Crossing the line in 13th place and earning All-MCCAA for the Monarchs was sophomore and 2024 NJCAA Coaches Association All-American, Brandon Penberthy, who ran 26:27.89. Jack DeWaele finished 24th in a personal best 27:32.0, while Mathieu Fortier completed the scoring for Macomb with a 53rd place finish and PR time of 29:18.1. 

Macomb will now prepare for the NJCAA DII National Championships on Nov. 8. The event will be held at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
