LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Taking part in the program's latest out-of-state race, the 19
th ranked Macomb women's cross country team raced in the popular SWAGS Louisville Cross Country Classic as the season hits its midway point. Competing with only four runners, including its top two runners (by time) in
Emma Dell and
Grace Wessel, the Monarchs did not record a team score Saturday (Oct. 4) in Louisville.
Erin Rowan, the lone sophomore racing on Saturday, finished with a team-best 21:05.7 5K, while teammate
Amber Watta checked in next with a time of 22:21.0.
Erin Leverenz set a new collegiate PR after crossing the 5K finish line at 24:16.5 and
Arianna Stiles closed it out for the Monarchs with a 26:51.9 effort.
The Monarchs return to the course on Oct. 17 when they take part in Saginaw Valley State University's Red October Run.
