Harris Nets Career-High 21 Points, Leads Women’s Basketball to 70-51 Road Victory

The road win lifted the Monarchs to 3-1 on the season.

LIVONIA, Mich. – A career-high 21 points from MyKenzi Harris propelled Macomb Women's Basketball to a 70-51 road victory over the Crusaders of Madonna University JV on Thursday (Nov. 20) in Livonia. The win lifts the Monarchs to 3-1 on the young season ahead of next weekend's Montcalm Community College Classic.

Holding a narrow 16-14 lead after one quarter of play, the Monarchs found their offensive rhythm in the second quarter and ended the opening half on a 23-7 burst after the Crusaders knotted the game up at 16-16. The 23-7 run led to a 39-23 halftime lead and was the difference in the game as the Monarchs and Crusaders battled to an even second half in the Blue & White's 19-point victory.

Harris' 21 led all scorers as the freshman guard shot 6-of-11 from the field overall and 3-of-5 from 3-point range. The Chippewa Valley product also added a career-best and game-high nine steals to go along with five rebounds and a pair of assists.
