PORT HURON – The 2024-25 season came to a close on Tuesday (March 4) for Macomb Women's Basketball as the Monarchs fell to the host SC4 Skippers in the Great Lakes District A Quarterfinals by a 72-57 final. The loss ended the Monarchs season at 16-13 overall.
The Monarchs trailed 39-22 at the break but, much like all season, the Blue & White refused to quit and battled back to get to within 10 on a couple of occasions in the 15-point setback.
Asiyah Jihad led all scorers with 26 points, doing so on a career-high five 3-pointers made. The first-year forward added nine rebounds and a pair of steals in 39 minutes of work to cap off a stellar campaign.
A'Liyah Forris followed with 11 points, a game-high six assists and three rebounds, while
Sydney Garon checked in with six points and nine rebounds.
Thank you, Monarchs, for the memories throughout the season! You competed hard night-in-and-night-out and we appreciate everything you have done for the program!
