WARREN, Mich. – Macomb Women's Basketball has punched its annual ticket to the postseason and will begin the playoffs on the road at Jackson College on Tuesday (March 3) for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off. The Monarchs posted a 20-win regular season at 20-9 overall and finished tied for third in the MCCAA East with Jackson College at 9-5 in league play.
The 20 wins is the most in the
Kirk Carolan era and the most since the historic 2019-20 Macomb team went 32-0. The Monarchs will be searching for the first playoff win in the Carolan era on Tuesday and the program's first postseason victory since 2021.

The Great Lakes District A Championship is set for Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Mott.
The top seed in the bracket is No. 4 Lansing Community College. The Stars will take on the winner of Delta College and Montcalm Community College at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
Whoever emerges as Great Lakes District A Champion will head to Hickory, NC, to compete in the NJCAA DII National Championship March 16-21 at the Tarlton Complex.
A LOOK AT JACKSON: The Jets finished the regular season 18-11 overall and 9-5 in MCCAA East action, closing out the regular season with a 72-66 home victory over the Monarchs to earn home court advantage on Tuesday.
Reese Williams scored a game-high 21 points for the Jets thanks to four 3-pointers. Tyra Wright had 13 points in 32 minutes off the bench for the Jets while Noel Smith registered 11 points and six rebounds. Amaria Daniel posted nine points, five rebounds and three steals.
Williams finished the regular season third in the MCCAA in scoring at 17.1 points per game. As a team, Jackson is averaging 78.2 points per contest to rank fifth in the MCCAA under head coach Heather Brown.
A LOOK AT MACOMB: The Monarchs nearly erased a 19-point deficit in the loss at Jackson, coming up just shy in a 72-66 setback.
A'Liyah Forris had a solid all-around game with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Hannah Tamou recorded a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double while
Janiya McWilliams also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
MyKenzi Harris posted 11 points and six rebounds and
Vanessa Galovich netted eight points and pulled down eight boards.
Macomb outrebounded the Jets, 42-34, and shot 37.7% from the field.
Forris leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game. Harris is averaging 13.1 points per night while McWilliams and Tamou are in double figures with 10.6 and 10.0 points per game, respectively. McWilliams also leads Macomb in rebounding (7.2 RPG) and assists (3.4 APG).
As a team, the Monarchs are averaging 71.6 points per night to rank ninth in the MCCAA.
EARLIER THIS SEASON: Macomb defeated the Jets for the first time since 2017 earlier this year with a 69-64 victory on Jan. 31 at the Matthaei Center in Detroit. The Jets evened the season series to earn the right to host Tuesday's playoff game.
