Baseball Loses Two on Sunday, Eyes Big Conference Series Ahead

Despite winning the season series for the second straight year, the Monarchs fell to 5-4 in conference play with a pair of setbacks Sunday to Mott.

WEST BLOOMFIELD – Two days after winning the season series over Mott, Macomb Baseball couldn't get the bats going in a pair of losses to shift to 5-4 in conference play and 15-11 overall. Derek Neufeld got the game one start and performed well as the sophomore scattered five hits and allowed three earned while going the distance.

Cowdrey led the way once again in game two, going 2-for-3 at the plae with an RBI double. Dominic Cavacini also had an RBI double as part of a 1-for-3 game, while Hanneman and Nathan Fidelino drove in a run each.
