HILLSDALE – Emma Dell won the NJCAA Region 12 1-Mile and 3K races to highlight a solid day overall for Macomb Women's Indoor Track & Field on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic. The event, also the Region 12 Championship, was held at Hillsdale's Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center.

In its first season back at Macomb, the Monarchs were able to finish third in Region 12 and sixth overall out of 14 total teams on Saturday despite only competing in distance events.
Dell raced her way to the top time in Region 12 in the 1-Mile with a time of 5:48.03, topping runners from three other region schools. The standout freshman repeated her first place region finish in the 3K with a time of 11:36.09, finishing 12 seconds in front of the next NJCAA runner.
Ava LaMilza and
Erin Rowan were the only two runners from the region in the 5K event at Hillsdale and went on to record times of 19:07.63 and 20:32.97, respectively. Rowan's time was good for a PR.
