ROCHESTER, Mich. – Macomb Track wrapped up competition at the Oakland University Elaine Leigh Invitational on Saturday (April 18) with two more personal bests.

A lighter day than Friday evening at Oakland, the Monarchs had just two runners compete on Saturday, but the pair made it count as Emma Dell and Brandon Penberthy both set a PR in the 3000m steeplechase event. Dell ran a 12:30 to place third in the event overall while setting a new personall best. The time was also good for 19th best in NJCAA Division I this season. 

Penberthy clocked in at 10:18 in his steeplechase, finishing sixth overall for a personal best. Like Dell, Penberthy's time was one of the best in NJCAA Division I this season, checking in at No. 21 overall.

The Monarchs are back in action Saturday (April 25) at the Hillsdale College Tune-Up.
