BY THE NUMBERS: 43
The Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton College (OH) will visit the Sports & Expo Center for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off Tuesday (Nov. 15). Last season, the Bobcats upended a shorthanded Monarchs team and ended the program's 43 game winning streak. The impressive streak, spanning the entire 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, lasted an incredible 985 days.

BY THE NUMBERS: 73
The Monarchs have been active defensively throughout the first four games of the season and have accumulated 73 steals compared to 22 for the competition. In all, the Monarchs have recorded more steals than the opposition in every game this season, resulting in a 3-1 record. Amy Jackson leads the way with 18 steals (4.5 SPG).

BOUNCE BACK TIME
After a 3-0 start, the Monarchs returned home to host Adrian JV Tuesday (Nov. 8) inside the Sports & Expo Center. Up one at the half, 37-36, and leading by as many as three late in the third quarter, the Monarchs were edged by the Bulldogs behind an 11-0 run by the visitors to start the fourth in the 11-point decision. The Monarchs will look to get back in the win column Tuesday at home.

STAT LEADERS
Returning All-Conference selection Amy Jackson paces the Monarchs offensively with 16 points per game through four games this season. Jackson also leads the way defensively with 4.5 steals per game, while Valina Hudgins anchors the effort on the glass with 7.7 rebounds per contest. Kamryn Richards sets up the offense with a team-best 6.3 assists per game (25 total assists is best in the MCCAA East).

THOMAS' STRONG START
What a start for Rylee Thomas! The starting shortstop for Macomb Softball, Thomas joined women's basketball for the final 19 games of the 2021-22 season and has been steadily improving ever since. This year, Thomas has jumped out to a strong start and has averaged 12 points while shooting a red-hot 51.6% overall and 48.3% from three-point land.

FOR THREEEEEE!
Speaking of Thomas' red-hot start, the sophomore guard has lit up the net to the tune of 14 three-pointers (best in the MCCAA East as of Nov. 14). Sophomore forward Amy Jackson follows Thomas with 13 triples through four games, good for second in the MCCAA East.

A LOOK AT: BRYANT & STRATTON
The Bryant & Stratton (OH) Bobcats will make the trip north to Warren with an 0-1 record after opening the 2022-23 season with an 84-53 home setback to Schoolcraft. The Bobcats trailed by 16 after one quarter of play and were ultimately outdone by 6-of-26 (23.1%) shooting from the free throw line in the 31-point defeat. Abby Spalding led the Bobcats with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

A LOOK AHEAD
After Tuesday's home game opposite Bryant & Stratton (OH), the Monarchs will remain home for a Nov. 22 contest against Glen Oaks. A road tilt at Madonna JV follows on Nov. 29, firmly sandwiched in between the current homestand and a pair of home games in early December. Cuyahoga visits Warren on Dec. 2 while North Central Michigan Michigan comes to town Dec. 3.

THIS WEEK IN MONARCH HISTORY
In this installment of "This Week in Monarch History" we head back to Nov. 16, 2018, when the Monarchs went on the road and toppled the Lansing CC Stars, 75-53. Four Monarchs reached double figures scoring in the road victory, led by Sami Klink with 20 points. Mariah Taylor, Faith Terry and Lauren Wynn followed with 14 points each.
