BY THE NUMBERS: 131
With five triples in last week's 53-31 victory over Glen Oaks, sophomore forward Amy Jackson became the program's all-time record holder in 3-pointers made with 131 (and counting) over her two-plus year career. Jackson, already the single-season record holder with 84 triples last year, broke Edina Trsic's longstanding career record (129 3PM, 2006-08).

BY THE NUMBERS: 7
With the five 3-pointers made in the Glen Oaks win, Amy Jackson has now made five-or-more threes in a game seven (7) times throughout her career. Now the career and season record holder for most 3-pointers made, Jackson has also made seven (7) triples in a game twice, two shy of the program record of nine set by Emily Swiercz on Feb. 28, 2021.

INSIDE THE GLEN OAKS WIN
The Monarchs' defense was active early and often as the Blue & White earned a 10-4 lead after one quarter of play and a 28-12 advantage at the halftime break in a 53-31 victory over Glen Oaks Tuesday (Nov. 22). The Monarchs held Glen Oaks to 10 field goals made on 16.7% shooting in the 22-point win and the 31 points allowed was the fewest this season (program record: 17, Washtenaw, Nov. 5, 2016).

A THREE-GAME WEEK
After playing one game in each of the previous three weeks, the Monarchs, now 5-1 on the season, will hit the court three times this week beginning Tuesday (Nov. 29) at Madonna JV. Following the Madonna game, the Monarchs will return home to play a back-to-back against Cuyahoga Friday (Dec. 2) at 5:30 p.m. and North Central Michigan Saturday (Dec. 3) afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

MCCAA EAST COACHES POLL
Following a vote by the league's head coaches, Macomb Women's Basketball was selected fifth in the MCCAA Eastern Conference Preseason Poll. The poll was released Friday (Nov. 25) by the league office. Of note, the Monarchs received one first place vote. The Monarchs will be seeking the program's seventh league title this season.

JONES DOES IT ALL
One of the unsung performances in Tuesday's 53-31 win was the stat line earned by freshman guard Jaelynn Jones. In 30 minutes of action, Jones hauled in seven rebounds to accompany team-leading efforts in assists (five) and steals (four) while scoring three points.

STAT LEADERS
Returning All-Conference selection Amy Jackson paces the Monarchs offensively with 15.3 points per game through six games this season. Jackson also leads the way defensively with 3.0 steals per game, while Tamia Tounsel controls the glass with 7.8 rebounds per game. Kamryn Richards has dished out a team-high 5.0 assists per contest through five games played.

A LOOK AT: CUYAHOGA
The Cuyahoga Community College Triceratops have enjoyed a successful return to play after a two-year program hiatus due to the pandemic. Entering the week, the Triceratops own a 5-1 record with their only loss coming to Top-10 Schoolcraft. Quimari Shelton leads a balanced team with averages of 18 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.5 steals per game this season.

A LOOK AT: NORTH CENTRAL MICHIGAN
After playing a Region XII opponent coming off a two-year hiatus, the Monarchs will take on a first-year program when the Timberwolves of North Central Michigan College come to town Saturday (Dec. 3) at 1:00 p.m. The Timberwolves, a member of the new MCCAA Northern Conference, enter the week with a 2-4 record.
