ROCHESTER HILLS – The duo of
Dylan Penberthy and
Carson Gilbertson highlighted a solid showing for Macomb Men's Track & Field on Saturday (April 5) at Oakland University's Golden Grizzlies Invite. Penberthy and Gilbertson set new PRs in the 5000m with Penberthy leading the way in 21
st place overall at 16:00.81 in a field that featured NCAA Division I & Division II runners.
The impressive time set a new PR for Penberthy and resulted in a Top 50 junior college time nationally. Gilbertson was next in 38
th place with a PR time of 16:38.32, while
Brandon Penberthy followed closely in 41
st place after crossing the 5000m finish line at 16:42.34.
Jack DeWaele checked in 44
th overall with a time of 16:51.90,
Mathieu Fortier was 48
th at 17:20.75 and
Preston Corneillie was 51
st with a time of 17:53.39.
Lucas Shemansky competed in the 800m earlier in the day and finished 12
th overall in a loaded field with a time of 2:03.61.
