BY THE NUMBERS: 1
Allow her to reintroduce herself! Sophomore first baseman Elizabeth Townsend has been on fire this season and is No. 1 in the MCCAA East in batting average at .509 through 18 games played. As part of a special season, Townsend hit her 19th career home run last week to move into the No. 1 position all-time in career home runs at Macomb!

BY THE NUMBERS: 3
What a week it was for Samantha Scott! The sophomore third baseman hit a team-best three (3) home runs last week, two coming in the doubleheader against Oakland Community College and the last one coming in an 8-0 win at Schoolcraft. All three (3) shots left the park quickly, none faster or further than the estimated 240' blast at Schoolcraft.

MONARCH REWIND
The injury bug from baseball crossed over into softball as the Monarchs battled nagging injuries to post a 1-3 record last week. The lone win of the week was an 8-0 shutout over Schoolcraft, a win that was sparked by a 4-for-4 effort at the plate from Samantha Scott and a complete game shutout by Allison Vogt. The Monarchs hope to get healthy ahead of a huge homestand this week.

MASSIVE HOMESTAND AHEAD
We have a fun week ahead at the corner of Hayes and Martin! As a result of postponements earlier this season, the Monarchs have a four-day, eight-game homestand this week beginning Wednesday against Schoolcraft. The Monarchs will host SC4 Thursday, Mott on Friday and will cap off the homestand against Henry Ford Saturday afternoon. All games will be streamed live!

VOGT SHUTS DOWN THE OCELOTS
Allison Vogt got the game one nod in the circle at Schoolcraft and went the distance as part of an impressive outing. The freshman right-handed pitcher struck out nine Ocelots and only walked one while scattering four hits across seven scoreless innings. The complete game shutout resulted in Vogt's fifth win of the season (team high).

STREAMING LIVE
Can't make it to some or all of the homestand this week? No problem, Macomb Athletics has you covered! All eight games will be streamed live this week on MacombMonarchs.com/Watch. All live streams are free of charge and are available on-demand (on YouTube).

HOME RUN POWER
Freshman catcher/shortstop Brynn Beyer paces a balanced lineup with four home runs on the season. Following a breakout week, Samantha Scott is next with three deep flies, while Carleigh Bilpo and the program's all-time home run leader, Elizabeth Townsend, check in with one long ball each. The Monarchs will look to carry over the power into this week's busy slate.

A LOOK AT: SCHOOLCRAFT & SC4
The homestand begins Wednesday with the Monarchs hosting the last team they played, Schoolcraft College. After splitting Saturday's doubleheader, the Monarchs check in with a 2-5 record in league play while Schoolcraft is 1-5 in the conference. The SC4 Skippers are 0-9 in league play at the time of this release and are currently playing a doubleheader against Mott.

A LOOK AT: MOTT & HENRY FORD
The Mott Bears are riding a lengthy winning streak and are 7-2 in the MCCAA East at the time of this release. Henry Ford is 4-7 in the league and 0-1 against Macomb after the Monarchs posted five runs in the seventh inning to win, 7-2, in Taylor back on April 3. Friday's doubleheader will be the Monarchs first meeting with Mott this season.
