MONARCH REWIND
The Monarchs welcomed in four different conference opponents as part of a massive homestand last week that spanned Wednesday through Saturday. The Monarchs went 5-3 in the homestand after sweeping SC4 and splitting doubleheaders with Schoolcraft, Mott and Henry Ford. The 5-3 week lifted the Monarchs overall record to 13-14 and their league mark to 7-8.
HUGE CONFERENCE MATCHUPS AHEAD
Three big time MCCAA Eastern Conference matchups lie ahead this week for the Monarchs. On Tuesday, the Monarchs head to Flint's Kearsley Park to take on the Mott CC Bears in a critical league twin bill. On Friday, the Monarchs make the short trip up I-94 to Marysville City Park to play two against SC4 before a road doubleheader at OCC Saturday (at OCC's Highland Lakes Campus).

ONLY TWO HOME DATES REMAINING
After last week's fury of four home doubleheaders, the Monarchs are now down to only two home dates remaining on the 2023 schedule. The Monarchs will host Schoolcraft on April 28 before wrapping up the regular season against SC4 at home on May 6.
THE SEASON SERIES...
The week begins with a doubleheader vs. Mott at Kearsley Park Tuesday at 3 p.m. The Monarchs and Bears split last week's twin bill, 1-1, in their only meeting of the season. On Friday, the Monarchs visit SC4 (at Marysville City Park). The Monarchs swept the Skippers last week in Warren. The week wraps up with two games at OCC Saturday afternoon (OCC is 4-0 against Macomb this year).
MITCHELL'S BIG WEEK
What an impressive week at the plate for
Haley Mitchell! The freshman out of Memphis came up big for the Monarchs throughout the week, including a leadoff double in extra innings that led to Mitchell scoring the walk-off run in a 7-6 win over SC4. In six games played (four starts) last week, Mitchell hit a team-best .538 after going 7-for-13 with a double, two RBIs and five runs scored.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Congratulations goes out to
Allison Vogt for earning MCCAA Eastern Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 3-9. The freshman right-handed pitcher earned her first career weekly honor after striking out a career-high nine batters while scattering four hits in a complete-game shutout against Schoolcraft on April 8.
