BY THE NUMBERS: 106
Sophomore first baseman Elizabeth Townsend continues to chase history! Townsend—already Macomb's career home run leader—enters the week with 106 RBIs, seven shy of the program record of 113 RBIs set by Kory Farmer (2009-11). Townsend and the Monarchs have eight regular season games left and possible playoff games thereafter.

BY THE NUMBERS: 200
Congratulations goes out to sophomore pitcher, Carly Sierzenga, on recently recording career strike No. 200! The 200 strikeouts positions the sophomore hurler in fifth place all-time at Macomb, and with one more punch out, Sierzenga will jump into a tie for fourth place. Sierzenga racked up 150 strikeouts last season (fifth best in program history).

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS
In the famous words of longtime Raiders owner, Al Davis: "Just Win, Baby"! With eight games ahead to close out the regular season slate, the Monarchs enter the week one game behind Henry Ford for the third and final playoff spot awarded to the MCCAA Eastern Conference. The Monarchs will need to rack up wins this week, including when they play Henry Ford Friday afternoon.

CAN THEY GET TO STEVENSVILLE?
As we mentioned above, the Monarchs enter the week one game back of Henry Ford for the final NJCAA Region XII Great Lakes District playoff spot awarded to the MCCAA Eastern Conference. The top three teams in the MCCAA East qualify for one of the two Great Lakes District Tournaments, both of which are held at the LYBSA Complex in Stevensville, MI from May 11-13.

ERICKSON'S MASSIVE WEEK
What a week it was for Danielle Erickson! Erickson was one of many Monarchs to enjoy a solid week recently, but the sophomore was on another level with an incredible .538 batting average, .600 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage on her way to going 14-for-24 with two home runs, four doubles and seven RBIs (week of April 17-23).

HITTING MACHINES
Both Danielle Erickson and Elizabeth Townsend will go down as two of the best pure hitters in Macomb Softball history! The super sophomores are both top three all-time in career hits entering the week and will look to continue their ascension in the games ahead.

SOPHOMORE DAY IS SATURDAY!
Join us Saturday for Sophomore Day as the program will celebrate its eight sophomores moving on after this season with a ceremony in between games during the SC4 doubleheader. The eight sophomores are: Jenna Alessandrini, Danielle Erickson, Emma Lautenbach, Natalie Lerchenfeld, Samantha Scott, Carly Sierzenga, Rylee Thomas and Elizabeth Townsend.

OTHER NOTABLE CAREER MARKS
Rylee Thomas recently became the 32nd player in program history to record 75 career hits and Samantha Scott is currently two back of becoming the 33rd player to reach the milestone with 73 career hits. Scott is also one home run shy of becoming the 10th player in program history to hit 10 career home runs. Both Scott and Thomas enter the week with 47 career RBIs.

A FEW LEADERS THIS SEASON
Allison Vogt leads a balanced staff in wins (10) and strikeouts (92). Brynn Beyer leads the team in home runs (6), while Rylee Thomas paces the action in triples (4) and Carleigh Bilpo leads the way in doubles (12). Elizabeth Townsend leads the team in hits (50), RBIs (28) and average (.476), while Danielle Erickson has scored the most runs (28).
