Chante Hudgins continues to ascend as the season rolls on and recently enjoyed a solid week on the court with
25 kills in two matches. Hudgins, the team's leader in kills with 76 through eight matches played, recorded 12 kills in a home match opposite SC4 and followed that performance with a 13-kill effort at Mott.
BY THE NUMBERS: 78
The Monarchs continue to rack up points from the service line this season! Last week, the Blue & White tallied 19 aces, 10 coming in their match at Mott on Wednesday and nine at home against SC4 Monday evening. The 19-ace week lifts the Monarchs' season total to
78 through eight matches.
Becca Weiss leads the Monarchs with 17 aces.
MONARCH REWIND
The Monarchs fell in a pair of hard-fought contests to begin league play, losing four-set decisions to SC4 and Mott (both MCCAA East Co-Champions a season ago) to move to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. Despite the losses, the Monarchs were resilient and showed signs of great things to come as the young team continues to gel and improve as the season progresses.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Monarchs return to the friendly confines of the Sports & Expo Center for a pair of home matches in the week ahead. On Monday, the Monarchs welcome the Schoolcraft College Ocelots to Warren for a 7 p.m. first serve. Then on Wednesday, the Monarchs host the Hawks of Henry Ford College at 7 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live on

A SOPHOMORE SURGE
Sophomore outside hitter
Mallory Cardinale has got off to a great start this season, amassing 67 digs, 62 kills, 12 aces and six block assists through eight matches. The above numbers surpass Cardinale's freshman totals (19 matches played) as the former Chippewa Valley standout has emerged as a team leader this season.

A LOOK AT: SCHOOLCRAFT
Playing a tough schedule, the Schoolcraft College Ocelots dropped their first eight matches of the season before winning in four sets over Oakland Community College earlier this week. Through 10 matches, the Ocelots are 1-9 overall and 1-1 in the MCCAA East and, at the time of this release, are led by Lillian DeJong with 120 kills and Brooke Crawford with 79 digs.
A LOOK AT: HENRY FORD
On Wednesday, the Monarchs will host the second half of back-to-back home matches when the Henry Ford College Hawks visit the Sports & Expo Center. The Hawks are 1-9 overall and 0-2 in league play entering the week ahead and have totaled 75 kills as a team through 10 contests. Ashia Estell paces a spread out Hawks attack at the net with 21 kills.
HISTORY SAYS
Here's a look at the series record (since 2012) against our upcoming opponents. The Monarchs are 10-13 against Schoolcraft since match-by-match results have been kept and enter the week on a two-match skid against the Ocelots. The Monarchs split last season's matches with Henry Ford and are 13-3 since 2012 against the Hawks.
