BY THE NUMBERS: 9
Join us Friday for Sophomore Day as the program honors its nine (9) sophomores with a special postgame ceremony. This year's sophomore class includes (sophomores - athletic eligibility): Brynn Beyer, Carleigh Bilpo, Savanna Clark, Katelynn Fraser, Haley Mitchell, Lexi Murray, Ally Prasnjak, Katelyn Thomas and Allison Vogt.

BY THE NUMBERS: 4
Welcome back to the dance, Monarchs! Macomb Softball punched their ticket to the NJCAA Region 12 Great Lakes District Tournament (A or B) with a recent win over Schoolcraft. At 21-13 overall and 17-7 in MCCAA East play, the Monarchs have now qualified for Region 12 postseason play four (4) times under the guidance of head coach Jim Beard.

REGULAR SEASON WRAPS UP
Another season going by way too fast! The final week of the regular season is upon us as the Monarchs have a jam-packed slate of three doubleheaders over the course of four days beginning with road games at SC4 on Tuesday. The Monarchs return home—as the away team—Thursday against Henry Ford and will host Sophomore Day against the same Hawks team on Friday.

LEADING THE WAY
Savanna Clark paces the Monarch offense with a team-best average of .444 and has swiped 26 bags this year, a number good for second in the entire MCCAA. Ally Prasnjak is hitting .421 to go along with team-leading numbers in doubles (12), triples (4) and home runs (8) as part of a .832 slugging percentage. Carleigh Bilpo (.386), Katelyn Thomas (.386), Haley Mitchell (.382) and Brynn Beyer (.376) are all hitting above .350.

FIVE IN A ROW!
Continuing to work her way back into form at the most critical time in the season, sophomore right-handed pitcher Allison Vogt has been on a roll and has secured five straight wins in the circle. In her last outing, Vogt held a talented Mott lineup to one earned run to earn win No. 8 on the season and shifted her ERA to a team-best 3.52 through 67.2 innings pitched.

A LIKELY DESTINATION
Barring anything extreme, the Monarchs are likely heading to the Great Lakes District A Tournament as the East No. 2 seed. The tournament, played May 9-11 at Marysville City Park, would kick off for the Monarchs at 12 p.m. on May 9 against the No. 3 team from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference. Complete seeding is TBD this week.

LAST MEETING WITH SC4
The Monarchs will take a 13-game winning streak over St. Clair County Community College (SC4) into Tuesday's doubleheader in Marysville against the Skippers. The Monarchs are 4-0 this season against SC4, but trailed late in two games, rattling off 16 runs in the sixth to erase a one-run deficit in one game and then scoring four in the seventh to comeback and win the last meeting.

SEEING DOUBLE
Twice as nice! The Monarchs will (technically) host the Henry Ford College Hawks for back-to-back doubleheaders on Thursday and Friday to wrap up regular season play. The Hawks will be the home team on Thursday in what is the makeup for the originally scheduled April 13 road doubleheader. The Monarchs will conclude the 2024 regular season on Friday against the Hawks as the traditional home team during Sophomore Day.

RECORD BREAKING WEEK?
The Monarchs have a chance to set a few records in the week ahead. With a strong week, the Monarchs have a shot to break the program record for most conference wins in a season (21 wins - set in 2003) and have the opportunity to become the winningest team in the Coach Beard era (previous winningest team under Coach Beard was in 2022 - 25 wins).
