Warren, Mich. – The 2024-25 MCCAA Academic Awards were announced Tuesday (June 24) and the Monarchs were well-represented with three teams earning MCCAA Academic Team honors and a grand total of 55 student-athletes earning individual academic recognition.

Of the 55 student-athletes earning academic honors, 43 earned Academic All-MCCAA status and 12 secured Academic All-Conference recognition. Academic All-Conference honors are earned by student-athletes who posted a 3.00 – 3.199 GPA and passed 24 credit hours during the 2024-25 academic year. Academic All-MCCAA honors are earned by those who recorded a 3.20 or above GPA and passed 24 credit hours in 2024-25.

Team wise, three Macomb programs earned MCCAA Academic Team honors following well-rounded efforts in the classroom. To earn MCCAA Academic Team honors, a team must achieve a 3.0+ collective GPA in the current academic year.

This year, Baseball took home Macomb's top team GPA with a 3.25 cumulative mark. The baseball team's strong 2024-25 performance in the classroom was followed by Women's Basketball with a 3.19 and Women's Volleyball with a 3.11.
